  In a daring daylight robbery, a four-man armed gang targeted the Oke-Sokori area of Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State. The incident occurred on Friday when the criminals intercepted a Northern trader driving a Toyota Venza, with the license plate ABC 565 GN. The gang, brandishing rifles and concealing their identities with masks, swiftly executed their operation in a mere three minutes, leaving the victims and witnesses in shock. The main target of the robbery was two 'Ghana-Must-Go' bags believed to be filled with dollar notes. Thousands of Maiduguri residents have been forced to flee their homes following a massive flood triggered by the collapse of the Alau Dam. The dam, which had been at full capacity for several days, gave way in the early hours of Tuesday, causing severe flooding in various parts of the Borno State capital, including the government house and the Emir’s palace. The flood also resulted in the escape of wild animals from the state zoo, with snakes, crocodiles, and ostriches roaming the streets.
