Lagos State has a new Commissioner of Police, CP Ishola Olanrewaju Olawale, who has officially assumed his role as the 40th Commissioner of Police for the Lagos State Command. He succeeds CP Adegoke Fayoade, who was recently promoted to Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) and has taken up his new post at the AIG Zone 2 Headquarters in Onikan, Lagos. According to a statement issued by SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Command, CP Ishola's journey in the Nigeria Police Force began in 1992 when he was appointed as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police.
