Governor Zulum Surprise Visit To Gwaoza General Hospital

Babagana Umara Zulum, the Governor of Borno State, expressed his disappointment on Saturday regarding the absence of electricity and other unfavorable conditions at the General Hospital in Gwoza town. During a surprise visit to the hospital at midnight, as part of his one-day working visit to Gwoza, the governor inspected various sections of the facility and was disheartened by what he observed. He expressed his dismay that no one had informed him about the situation earlier. Zulum emphasized that the substandard state of the hospital's facilities could potentially hinder the efforts of dedicated healthcare professionals. He stated that it is unacceptable for a crucial healthcare facility like Gwoza General Hospital to lack basic amenities such as electricity. This deficiency compromises the quality of care provided to patients and undermines the hard work of healthcare workers. Zulum stressed that the purpose of his visit was not to assign blame but rather to identify and implement solutions. He expressed his regret that he was not made aware of the deplorable conditions in the hospital until his visit.
