Plea for Rescue: Abducted Zamfara Students Release Heartbreaking Video after Six Months in Captivity

A heart-wrenching video has emerged, showing the female students of Zamfara College of Art and Science, who have endured 174 days in captivity after being kidnapped by terrorist bandits. The disturbing footage captures the girls pleading with authorities to take swift action and rescue them from their harrowing ordeal.

The viral video, shared on social media by a renowned counter-insurgency expert and security analyst, Zagazola Makama, has sparked widespread concern and calls for immediate intervention. In the footage, the kidnapped students direct their appeal to both the federal and state governments, urging them to come to their rescue.

With tears streaming down her face, one of the abducted students implores Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, to intervene and save them from their captors' sinister plans. Desperate and frightened, the girls reveal that their abductors have threatened to force them into marriages if their demands are not met.

It is reported that the terrorists had initially demanded a ransom of N50 million for the girls' release, adding further anguish to the already agonizing situation. Despite the prolonged captivity and the previous administration's failure to secure their freedom, the young victims remain hopeful that the new government will come to their aid.

In the emotional plea, one of the students highlights the dire circumstances they face, emphasizing that they have been in captivity since the tenure of the former Governor Bello Matawalle, who left office on May 29, 2023, without securing their release.

"Our lives are in grave danger. We have spent 174 days in the forest, nearly six months of unimaginable suffering," she tearfully pleads. "We implore you, on behalf of our mothers and families, to rescue us. The previous government couldn't save us, but we place our hope in the new government led by Dauda Lawal to come to our rescue."

Adding to their misery, one of the girls reveals that she is an orphan, with her father already deceased, and her mother lacking the means to secure her release. The terror of forced marriages looms over them, threatening to rob them of their future and freedom.

The other three girls in the video share similar sentiments, expressing their desperation and urging the government to take urgent action to end their captivity.

The release of this distressing video serves as a poignant reminder of the urgent need for authorities to prioritize the rescue of these innocent students. Time is of the essence, and the nation's collective efforts must be mobilized to bring an end to their suffering and reunite them with their loved ones. The plea of these brave young girls should not go unanswered; their safety and well-being hang in the balance, and swift action is imperative.  CLICK HERE for more interesting info
